Bylaws of the Society
The Newtown Square Historical Preservation Society is a Pennsylvania non-profit corporation incorporated on July 19, 1985. The corporation has applied for and been granted status as a charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations to the Society for its legitimate purposes are tax deductible to the donor, in accordance with applicable law.
Under Pennsylvania law, corporations are managed by a board of directors and officers in accordance with a set of bylaws that govern its affairs. The Society’s current bylaws are being reviewed and updated by the board. Any recommended changes must be submitted to the membership for a vote.
We anticipate having the proposed bylaws finalized and submitted for review and approval in spring of 2013.
